通过建立BT本地化流量优化算法的性能模型,描述客户机的下载速率特性以及网络资源耗费等情况.该模型揭示了对等方的地理分布特征对BT算法的性能优化效果具有重要影响.通过实际的因特网试验验证了该模型的正确性.在12个月时间内考察了200万个.torrent文件,发现BT对等方在国家级和AS级等2个尺度上均服从Zipf-like分布.这些发现为BT的流量优化提供了一种新的有效依据.
Abstract:A general model about traffic localization approaches of BT was proposed,which describes the download rate and cost of peers exploit localization approaches.The model reveals that the geographical distribution of peers plays an important role in improving the performance of BT.Then,the correctness of the model was validated by conducting three sets of real Internet experiments.Besides,more than 2 million torrents in 12 month were investigated and the geographical distributions of peers were found to follow Zipf-like law both at country level and AS level,which can help to understand and answer questions related to traffic optimization of BT.
